In any car audio system, the subwoofer must absolutely be present. It might not sound important at first, but if you remove the subwoofer component, there’s no bass left. A subwoofer by definition is a loudspeaker dedicated to producing low frequency sounds. Have you ever heard the booming beat screaming from a car? That’s the subwoofer at work. Of course, it’s turned past what the average car owner would have it at.

The top companies you’ll want to look for if you want to upgrade your car subwoofer are JL Audio, MTX Audio, and Kicker. These three are leading the car audio industry, all with early origins. JL Audio’s W7 line is one of the most advanced and most powerful subwoofer lines available on the market (pricey, but well worth it if you care about the quality). MTX Audio has released an amazing 60-inch subwoofer that holds the record for the size. They also have the largest consumer subwoofer that measures at 22 inches. Kicker’s L7 seems to be the best from the Kicker lineup, and there’s no reason why it shouldn’t be.

Cars usually carry their subwoofers in the trunk or back parts of the vehicle because of the lack of space. Subwoofers and their enclosures tend to take up more space than is expected. As such, fitting them into dashboards and doors is extremely difficult.

An interesting thing subwoofers are used for are volume competition, also known as SPL wars. SPL (sound pressure levels) get extremely high in these battles, and some companies decide to produce subwoofers geared extremely towards the SPL rather than the sound quality. Companies like JL Audio have focused on both SPL and sound quality, as shown in JL Audio’s W7 series.

When installing a car stereo subwoofer, it sometimes requires modifications to the vehicle itself. Obviously, each car is built differently, and that includes the space allowed for upgrades/changes like the subwoofer. If you want to shoot for a larger one or one with a different shape (although mostly circular, some subwoofers are square), it’s important to make sure you have the right size available; otherwise, its time to bust out tools to make it so that you have the right size.

Never assume that a smaller subwoofer is weaker. For example, JL Audio’s 8-inch W7 subwoofer is more powerful than some 12-inch subwoofers from other companies. Because of this, you must always read reviews on the subwoofer you’re looking at before buying it in case that smaller subwoofer is indeed weaker. If you keep with the more popular brands, though, you shouldn’t have many problems, because these have been reviewed many times over and won’t fail to deliver.
Car stereo subwoofers sound like enthusiast-only business, but they dig deeper than most people think.

Jabra is good but dude avoid talking while driving.. it ain’t worth it

“When David told me that he’s speaking at typing speeds upwards of 500 words per minute I was blown away…”

I may have found the best tool since the invention of the keyboard. It’s called Dragon Naturally Speaking. This is a piece of software that comes with a headset so I can speak what I want to write. Literally every word you’re reading. I have spoken out loud. It was typed onto my screen for me.

I was introduced to Dragon by a colleague, David Lawrence, who runs The Efficient Practice. I was skeptical at first because I’m a fast typist. My typing speed is 95 to 105 words per minute with accuracy so why would I need a dictation device? When David told me that he’s speaking at typing speeds upwards of 500 words per minute I was blown away and had to try it for myself. I’ve now been using Dragon for two months. And while I don’t use it for every little thing I write. I do use it to write my blog and other long documents, as well as e-mails and even instant messaging.

I don’t think I’m as fast as David’s 500 words per minute but I am hitting at least 250 to 300 words per minute accurately. That’s three times faster than my own typing speed. So what does that mean for my efficiency? It means I can write five articles in the time it would’ve taken to write one or two. This product has been so successful for me that I ordered a copy for all of my executives and managers.

If you’d like to get your own copy of Dragon naturally speaking version 10.0 call Joseph at Nuance.com at 866-771-6287ext 631#. Tell him the EfficientCEO sent you!

Helping Others to Retire Early, The Savings Highway Shows You How

Close your eyes for a moment and picture yourself enjoying your ideal retirement. Perhaps you’re standing on the deck of your new houseboat. Or strolling through the streets of Europe. Or reading ‘Grisham” on the back porch, listening to the sounds on the stereo playing songs from years past.

More than likely, your actual retirement will look quite different from the way you’re imagining it. For one thing, the music playing on your stereo is more likely to be on your virtual reality headset – because you’ll probably retire a lot later than you think. If, that is, you retire early at all in the traditional sense of the word.

A recent survey released this year found that over 60 percent of Americans (ages 40 to 69) indicated that they’ll include some form of work in their retirement. Another study by the Brookings Institution, a Washington think tank, had similar findings. As reported by CBS News correspondent Nancy Cordes, “Nearly 80 percent [of the study's participants] say they’ll work on a part-time basis well beyond [age 63].” And the massive University of Michigan Health and Retirement Study (which surveys 22,000+ Americans over 50 every two years) also found that most Americans would prefer a “gradual retirement” – scaling back on their hours rather than quitting all together – if they had the choice.

In our parents and grandparents world – the kind of world that used to exist – retirement didn’t involve work. You were part of an extended family. When you grew old and wanted to retire early, you could do so. Your children would be running the family business. You would be included a majority of the time when important decisions needed to be made. Your wisdom would be respected. Your instincts revered. You would be surrounded by your loved ones, enjoying the fruits of your combined labor. Everything would be nirvana.

Rarely if ever , does that happen today. For one thing, you need money to retire early. A lot of money. So most baby boomers are going to have to delay their retirement because they simply will not be able to afford to retire early.

But even if you reach retirement age with substantial money in the bank, I’m going to argue that there’s a more important reason for you to eliminate those dreams of an euphoric life of leisure.

To understand what I’m about to say, you have to understand this: Happiness in life comes not from idleness but from helping others. Not helping others at a job you dislike, but helping others to achieve their real inner peace.

Given that, the secret to a great early retirement is to figure out how to get paid for doing work you would gladly do for free – and to be able to do that help others when and where you want to.

Maybe you have always wanted to be a dance instructor. Maybe your secret passion is cooking Middle Eastern cuisine. Maybe you’ve always wanted to rekindle your interest in astronomy, archeology or gardening.

Somewhere in your past is a buried profession – something you’ve long ago given up on. What if you could make that dream a reality?

The Internet has opened up a world of possibilities for those wishing to retire early. I recently met a man who trades old issues of Time Magazine online. This happens to be something he always wanted to do and planned to do once he stopped working. But by taking advantage of eBay and other Internet auction sites, he is already making a tidy sum doing it just on weekends. Trading old magazines!

There are plenty of other examples. You can become an Internet mentor, an Internet travel agent, or even an Internet master. You can make money giving relationship advice on the Internet, or even selling underwear. You can use the Internet to make a living from your interest in dogs or other animals, or your up-until-now useless knowledge about 20th-century dolls.

For the best early retirement possible, give up on the idea of playing golf all day. Instead, enrich your life with pursuits that mean something to you… and make money at the same time.

You can start your retire early planning right now by asking yourself the three Big Questions:

1. “Who would be the best person to do it with?”

2. “Where would I most want to do it?”

3. “What would I really enjoy doing?”

You may have found a partner and are ready to relocate right away, so start mastering the skills you’re going to need for your early retirement right now.”

Nokia Stereo Headset 2.5mm

For More Nokia Stereo Headset 2.5mm Info Click On The Blue Links Below

There are many people who do not know that they can connect their PC to a TV. This may look remedial to a lot of people, but it is simple. There are many reasons to connect a PC to TV. Today, DVD player is a standard hardware in PC and using it will eliminate the extra expenditure on buying 50 to 100 dollar DVD player. In addition to watching cable television programs, one can watch a lot of network television programs that stream over the Internet on the TV itself. Finally, connecting PC to TV is a great way to play music during parties.

The Requirements
You can connect your PC or a laptop to TV, if the PC has Windows XP or above. There are many ways to connect a PC to a TV, all the needed is the proper cabling.

Check the TV and PC features to see exactly what is required to connect. If it is an older TV, it may have only a composite connection (three wire cable with red, yellow, white connectors). Newer TV’s will usually have HDMI, component, VGA, and/or DVI inputs. Modern computers will have VGA or DVI outputs. A lot of laptops will also have S-Video or some variant of Mini/Micro-DVI.

TV with a VGA or DVI input is the best-case scenario. In this case, an adaptor is not required but an additional audio cable is required. Check the TV for either a 3.5mm stereo plug or the white and red plugs from a composite cable associated with the VGA/DVI input. If it is the red/white composite audio inputs, the cable will have to be red/white plug on one end and a 3.5mm stereo plug on the other. The 3.5mm plug will go into the PC’s headphone/speaker output socket.

Another best-case scenario would be if the PC has an HDMI or DVI (with sound) output and the TV has an HDMI input. For this scenario all the needed is an HDMI cable or an HDMI cable plus a DVI to HDMI adaptor. For the rest of the connections suitable adaptor is required.

The PC Settings
Once the connections are made, there is just one last step to get the PC display on the TV. For this the PC display settings are to be configured. Follow the steps below -

· Go to Menu -> Settings -> Control Panel -> select Display. Select the Settings tab and click the ‘Advanced’ button.
· The options displayed in the dialog box vary based on the video graphics card.
· Find the tab that is specific to the video graphics card. It will usually have the manufacturers name on the tab.
· In the graphics card tab, see if it has options such as Clone or Dual or Multiple Display, etc.
Check the appropriate box or radio button for the desired configuration and click Apply.

Older TVs won’t display high resolution. Also, some newer TVs will only accept certain resolutions. If the display does not work right away, try changing the resolution. If that still doesn’t work, try rebooting the PC with TV connected. The PC may auto detect the display and configure it for you.

Cars aren’t soundproof dude – you think you are putting on a private concert for just your dashboard hula-girl, but your powerful aftermarket car stereo is broadcasting the truth: that you’re singing along to the Jonas Brothers … not cool.

Hey, let someone else surprise his or her passengers with the resonating bass of the mythical “brown note,” made possible by an impractically full trunk of superfluous subwoofers. Bottom line: selling your used auto stereo equipment with an ad in Recycler Classifieds and on Recycler.com has never been easier…

One, Two, Three…Turn it Up, Sell it Fast
Pick Your Ad Package: The Free Basic Online Ad; the Enhanced Online Ad; the Free Online & Print Ad; the Two Week Photo Ad; the Two week Classified Ad; and the Best Buy packages (without or without a print photo).

Create the Ad: Make any potential buyer hear your car’s sound system with words (the best classified ad transcends the senses) and post a picture with your musical words to bring it on home.

Preview and Confirm: Give your ad a metaphorical sound-check, making sure it is clear, easy-to-read, makes sense, and devoid of errors. Once you are happy with it, simply confirm and wait for the sweet sound of your phone ringing of the hook (sounds kinda like a cashier’s bell…).

Sell Your Stuff Within Weeks – Get Used to the Sound of Money
So you’ll have to get used to the thin and grainy sound of stock stereo parts when driving around Southern California – big deal! Once your ad is placed in at least one of the four editions of the Recycler Classified magazine, boasting a weekly readership of 850,000 (that’s not a typo!), and online at Recycler.com, a website that receives an incredible 6 million hits per month, the sound of counting lots and lots of money will make your car stereo sound not so thin and grainy.

Loud and Proud – So-Cal’s Grooviest Classifieds
Since the early 70s, Recycler has been Southern California’s premier Trade publication for buying, selling and trading. There is no better way to sell your used Stereo Equipment with ease and efficiency. Recycler Classifieds gives you the unique freedom to describe your gear, along with photos, for optimal efficacy and, by upgrading your package to Print, optimal coverage.

Notebooks have really increased in popularity in the last decade. More colleges than ever before are offering ways to plug-in laptops and it is considered acceptable if not encouraged to use it for taking notes and other things. However, the market is so large, it can be really difficult to determine which notebook would be right for you. Below are some ideas on what you should look for.

The Price

I understand that if you are a college student or even if you are not, pricing is still very important to look at. Technology is an odd thing and it seems that there will be a huge jump in price from things released within the last few months to ones that are just slightly older. So, I would encourage you to look at the mid-ranged pricing notebooks. Those will be very close to being just as good as the ones that are much more expensive. The vast majority of them will be able to hold up to most things that you want to do.

The Specifications

The specifications are extremely important. Here is where it can start getting a little bit overwhelming to most consumers who are not familiar with computers. What is a processor? What size of hard drive is actually big? To be completely honest, you will want to do your research. Think of the things that you want to do with your laptop. Will you be playing some of the latest games on it? If not, then you probably have less concern about a video card. However, will you be running heavy duty applications on it? Then you probably still need a pretty good size processor and plenty of RAM. However, if your intentions are to only surf the net and use it for school, then you can probably get by with a middle of the road, lightweight notebook.

My Recommendations

After really reviewing several notebooks on the market, I think that the Samsung NC10 or the ASUS Eee PC 701 are probably the best ones right now. They are extremely affordable and they have good enough specs for most people to do what they want on it. The only thing I would not encourage these laptops for is gaming. They lack a really good video card that is necessary for some of the latest games. However, surfing the net and doing homework is easy on these laptops. As mentioned above, they will not hurt your wallet too much either.

Really, the difference between them is that the ASUS Eee PC 701 is one of the “mini” notebooks. They are extremely small, lightweight, and easy to travel with. They are actually designed for people who intend on carrying them around a lot or bringing them on planes. However, the Samsung NC10 has a little bit better specs, it is also lightweight, but has a 6 cell battery. It is focused on long-lasting use without having to plug it in. So if you are sitting in a classroom for a couple of hours without a way to plug it in, you should still be fine.

Find the Samsung NC10 netbook and other cheap laptops for sale at discount prices at our store.
