how do you get a japanese cell phone unlocked?
i want to buy an advanced cell phone from japan. i heard that you can use a japanese phone in america but you need someone to unlock it first. how and who do i go to, to get it unlocked to use in the states. any websites?

Is the CECT P168 Unlocked Triband Cell Phone any good?

I was looking at buying on of the CECT P168 TRiband unlocked cellphones and needed to know if it was any good from a users prospective? I know its not the apple iphone but it is a different model of the iphone! THANKS

I like mine very much, make sure you get the improve version. Also you can get micro sd for it. I have 2gb in mine and plenty of room. When you first get it, you have to learn on how to set up the internet, and out videos on it. if you need help with that just send me an email. I paid 180.00 for mine off ebay after shipping and very satisfied with my phone

I recently bought a Nokia 3250 and its a tri band GSM phone, i wanted to know wherether it would work in USA?

I bought the phone in India and was just wondering if it would work in the USA. Most carriers in the U.S. are GSM like Cingular and T-Mobile, so i was just wondering since it was a tri-band phone. Any help would be appreciated

If its tri-band, then probably it supports the 900 MHz band (GSM 900), the 1800 MHz band (GSM 1800) and 1900 MHz band (GSM 1900). T-Mobile and Cingular operate in the GSM 1900 (and GSM 850 but your phone doesn’t do this). So, in theory, the phone is OK. Whether or not it will actually work depends on which SIM card and network operator you have service with. Of course, put a TMObile or Cingular SIM in the phone and go the US, it will work. If you have a SIM from an Indian network operator, then whether it works or not depends on the roaming agreements – check with your network operator.
