@Railroadmaster I’d rather buy the N8 when it comes out. Because future N series would be MeeGo devices. And although it looks great, it will take at least 2-3 years to be developed fully (apps and everything) and if u buy the N9 now, you might not get to enjoy the real MeeGo experience. Besides, most of us use our phones for ~3 years. So I’d rather buy the N8 and enjoy its features today and then switch over to MeeGo when it is totally developed and finished with apps and everything.
@07liberian Not a giant leap in performance 680mhz (Nokia n8) isn’t hugely different than 600mhz (Nokia n9). Personally I would wait for the Nokia n9. Fanboys seem to have put extra effort into attacking the Nokia n8 Nokia’s youtube channel. Hey what do think of my idea of comparison video I can’t make anything due to lack of a good quality camera.
@Railroadmaster The N8 Sounds Great, I Dont Think Nokia Will Disappoint Anybody With This Release Being It’s The Last Symbian NSeries Phone. Nokia Dont Seem To Be Rushing The N8′s Release Like They Did With The N97 To Compete With The3GS. There Has Been A Couple Of Speed Bumps With The N8 In Some Preview Videos But I Think By The Time The N8 Is Released It Will Be Snappy And Ready To Go.
Spec WIse The N8 Has A Faster Processor Than My N900 And Same Ram As 3GS So ThePerformance Should Be Good.

@07liberian While yeas I do think the Nokia n86 is better than the iPhone I don’t it would be fair to compare because iPhone is smartphone while the Nokia n86 is a feature phone. I think a comparison between the Nokia n86, Sony Ericsson w995, and Samsung innov8 because all of those phones are 8gb 8 megapixel monsters but how does each stack up to each other. Personally I’m just sick of everything being compared to a iPhone.

this phone is like rock solid, literally. dropped it 4 times, no scratch to screen, only some tiny dots on the metal rim that’s not so obvious.. but still kinda heartaching lol.

I’m really happy with this phone, finally a smartphone with a REAL CAMERA AND REAL BUTTONS!!! the best in the n86 is the shape and ergonomics, with a confortable alphanumeric keypad. good materials, good building.
The camera is “normal” with the default firmware, but the improvement firm 21.xx the real colors and sharpeness in all pictures are GREAT AND AMAZING, with face detection.

@Abanamat85 the scroll keys are not fit, its quite hard to press. and check out the camera first, is its not a good qualoity, then its fake. it says 8mp but its not. but the fake one really looks like the original.

I have a problem with the kickstand
I cannot open it easily when the back cover is on
when i remove the back cover i can open the kickstand smoothly

@ahmedelmoon What does color have to do with sex ? And it’s white not pink. The fingerprints and scratches are not visible on white as well and the silver metallic frame looks better.

Be warned, the charger input / head phone/ usb connection is all from one output this stress the socket and they break. nokia said it was a crush injury and refused to fix it under warranty, even though the phone was only 3 month old, i have found other people saying this in the web
