How can I get new ringtones suitable for the Nokia BL-5CA?
I’d ideally like to make my own ringtones from my music files and try using Ventones to get them onto the phone but it’s a pretty basic model and I don’t access the internet with it so I’m not sure that would be possible.
The phone already has music clips on (albeit crappy ones that came with it) so I already know it’s capable of more than just ring-ring, beep-beep sort of noises. The question is whether there’s a free way to get new music onto it. I don’t mind buying a connector to link it up to my computer but I’m not willing to pay for ringtones to be sent to my phone and am not even sure if that would be possible anyway because, as I say above, I don’t access the internet with it.

It sounds like you’ve taken the back cover off to find the model and looked at the battery and got the model of that I’m afraid. You can use this site for ring tones though, you don’t need to register or give any personal details. If you remove the battery it will probably say on a silver sticker the model number so you can enter it onto the site to get the right ring tones.

All you would need to do is download them to your computer then as you suggested use the cable to transfer to your phone using Nokia PC Suite.
